Abstract£ºDifferences between the selected number of baseline points of the territorial sea and their spatial distribution have an important influence on the result of maritime boundary delimitation. The work of conventional baseline point selection was lacking an effective mathematic model to verify the selection scheme, and then the work was not effective in this case. To solve this problem, this paper brings forward an idea and a method to realize an optimized selection of baseline point using convex hull constructing technique. At last a case study of an archipelago's baseline point selection scheme is given.
