Abstract£ºThe 3D visualization of the geo-information is one of the research emphases in the Earth Information Science. Volume visualization mainly studies the denotation, transformation, operation and rendering of the volume data which contains the inner information of spatial objects, and then the volume visualization is a useful and appropriate technique to realize the visualization of geo-information. In this paper, the authors studied the theory, technique and method of the 3D interactive techniques in the volume visualization of the geo-information, and realized these algorithms by means of the VC++6.0 and VTK which is a 3D visualization software, in this case the 3D interactive function controls of volume visualization is developed.
